Rukungiri Christians Bid Farewell to Archbishop Kazimba

 Christians and church leaders from Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry in Rukungiri  gathered at St. Paul’s Kasoroza Parish to bid farewell to Archbishop Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, who is preparing to retire from his role as Archbishop of the Church of Uganda.

The ceremony was attended by numerous believers, church officials, and invited guests who came to honor his years of dedicated service.

During the event, Archbishop Kazimba laid the foundation stone for a new Archdeaconry church building. While blessing the project, he expressed confidence that the construction would be completed successfully and would strengthen the faith and spiritual growth of Christians in the area.

In his sermon, the Archbishop urged the congregation to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, a message that deeply moved worshippers, with many recommitting their lives to Christ.

“I want to express gratitude to the Christian community for the warm welcome you gave me during my visit. In particular, I thank Minister Jim Muhwezi Katugugu and Canon Suzan Muhwezi for your hospitality and support throughout my stay,” Archbishop Kazimba stated.

As he prepares to step down, he encouraged the people of Nyakagyeme to remain united, stressing that community cohesion would help overcome challenges and promote development.

Minister of Security and Rujumbura MP, Jim Muhwezi Katugugu, praised the Archbishop for his spiritual leadership and committed service to the Church of Uganda.
